Now that is very true, carried a 1911 on patrol for several years and love them. ( Especially when riding solo motors )

Bill I have owned several. My current is a Springfield Armoury Trophy match, all SS and pretty to beyhold.

I own numerous 1911’s, but I carry a Sig P229. It sits flatter under a t-shirt and I love the Romeo 1 sight. My Kimber Ultra Compact is just too bulky for hot Texas weather. Plus, I really love the way it shoots. No safety to worry about. Co-witness with the fixed sights is another advantage.

Rick my carry gun is a Kimber Micro 9 based on the 19411 design.
