We didn't have much winter until a week ago then we got 12" of snow in three days. It's melting now but it's a muddy mess in the squirrel feilds. Makes it hard to get out on the two tracks where we shoot them. I'll get some pictures next time we go out.

Re: Cant wait
Yuppers, it won't be long now. Snow on the ground here too, more on the way again later this week. But it's normal for this time of year, and gives the rats the moisture they require, as they don't drink water like other critters, getting what they need from plant moisture.
So hopefully by the time the little buggers come up for some sun, it'll be dried out somewhat and we can get out and have our way with them in proper style. I know I've got 1,200 rounds loaded up (from last year, dangit!) for each rat rifle in the safe, so no issues there. So if this Covid crap does not complicate things (AGAIN!) this year, it should be a decent season, as not too much shooting took place last year = more targets!

Re: Cant wait
I have three trips set up hope Covid doesn't kill them. I got to go one trip last year and the shooting was exceptional. Save some for me Rick!

Just when I thought maybe, just maybe, it being somewhat clearer and all, the last week or so. Snow begins again today.. So another set back in my area anyway. But thanks for the photo Rick, sure looks nice, those three critters waiting for acrobatic lessons.

We got 3 or 4 inches of globing warming last night so we won't be going out for awhile.

Re: Cant wait
There was plenty of them, squirrels, out that morning. We forgot about the cold and enjoyed about 2 and a half hours
of shooting. Leaving the temp. showed 11 degress.
