I have a buddy that gives me a bad time about my Hornet, claiming that it is an inherently inaccurate round. I guess nobody ever told my rifle. . .
Cooper Model 38 Varminter in .22 Hornet.
40 grain V-Max
13 grains of Lil Gun
It's pure poison on gophers out to 200 yards or so. My longest shot was laser ranged at 302 yards (even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while).

I found a very nice lightly Used Browning A-bolt Micro-Hunter .22 Hornet....it is now 1 of my Favorite Rifles to Hunt with.Very accurate, light weight and fun to shoot, sighted it in at 50 then 100 yards and headed back up to the house from behind our Barn....a Groundhog made the mistake of coming out and I stepped off the porch and dropped it in it's tracks at 128 yards!
35 grain Hornady bullets work great in this .22 Hornet!
I have a left handed A-bolt that will arrive at my FFL Friday. My left handed grandson shoots my PCP air rifle well left handed, so he needs to step up to a centerfire to "hang" with grandpa in the squirrel fields. lol
There are always naysayers, I think most of them just dont have the patience to find the sweet spot. While I do not own a Hornet , I would be proud too. My Neighbor, has one but I cant talk him into parting with it!
I got a new handi rifle in .22 hornet.figured it would be a truck rifle.suprize suprize it groups tight .shines with 12 grains lil gun pushing 45 grain hornadys

That's a strong statement for a Hornet. So then, you won't have any problems posting some pics of those one-hole groups for all to see.
No pics: It didn't happen.
Ya, no pics for now. Been afflicted with AR fever lately so haven't had the CZ out for about six months or so. Guess I'll pull it out and see what I can come up with. Should of probably said "nice tight groups" rather than "one hole"....sounds kind of pretentious doesn't it.
I was gonna say 1 hole groups all day? When i say tight groups ...
How did you get 10 grains lil gun in a 22 hornet shell?
9 is compressed .i tried 9.5 n primers were backing out

Hmmm. . . 12 grains of Lil Gun will fit in my Hornet brass. Not compressed, and no high pressure signs with a 40 grain V-Max.
The group in the pic in my first post in this thread is 13 grains. That one is slightly compressed, but still, no high pressure signs.

What bullet are you using? 10 grains fits nicely using the 45 gr. Hornady Hornet (#2230).
