Primer pocket question

when it comes time to resize your shot round and you come to cleaning the primer pocket do you use the pocket primer uniform bit , or use the pocket primer brush like on a electronic chamfer tool that have the brush attachments
I have always used the pocket primer uniform bit and along with cleaning it it takes out a little brass each time and I and wondering if I am doing damage to the brass by using this method

I have used both but feel the brushes don't clean the bottom edges as good as a bit. I use a Sinclair pocket uniformer and clean the pocket to the bottom the first time. After that I don't get brass when cleaning the pocket.

I have the same tool
I only get small amounts of brass when I use it to clean out the pocket

After uniforming the primer pockets, I use this tool after each firing. Works great!

Yes, I agree that using brushes cannot clean entirely the gun especially those the inner part where the brush could not penetrate. I will probably use this sinclair pocket uniformer.

Mark - Just for the record, all fired brass gets the Sinclair primer pocket uniformer EVERY time. A tiny amount of brass will indeed be removed, but not to worry, as you'll never, ever remove an excessive amount to weaken the web of the case.

I've got some 222 Rem Mag brass that I formed to 223 back in 1976, and believe it or not, it gets fired about every year, and even that brass still has plenty of meat left in the case web.

That was my concern Rick , weakening the brass
I have always used the pocket primer uniformer and now will continue to use it

With stainless steel tumbling media, it cleans the pockets for you. However, when I don't I use my K & M primer pocket uniforming tool.
