I spent a bit of time recently going through all the waste materials the previous owners left us, and found some useful stuff.
Pieced it together with some iron I had left over after building our shed, a few screws and nails that were in my tool cupboards, one of the many car jacks also in those cupboards, and this is what I come up with
My better half only ever shot my rifle once. She's right handed, but shot left. So I've catered for this on the odd chance she ever gets interested in punching paper.
If I clear a few prickly acacia from further down range, I can get a 500 yd target from there.
I'd like to see some photos of other benches, whether you made them yourself, or they're at your local range.
There may be inspiration in them for me to make mods to mine, or for others to make their own.
One thing I will do, after hearing the awful noise after the first shot, is put a bit of aircell insulation on the underside of that iron.
Maybe even a few barriers around the sides to reduce the noise at the neighbours' house.

And here's a little mess left at the bench where one of my old Sunday School students has been working. Train 'em right I always say....
