I purchased the 2010 Hornady Reloading Manual and really liked what I saw, then got out my camera and made the following study of the new loads for my hunting rifles, including a 330 Dakota, .260 Remington, and a .204 Ruger.
Red Tip! The Hornady Experience
Re: Red Tip! The Hornady Experience
Critter, I've had very good results on rockchucks using the Hornady 40 grain V-Max from my .204 Ruger. The V-Max 110 and the A-Max 155 from my .308 have also worked out very well on targets - haven't tried them on live game yet, but have read good reports.
Hornady is making one heck of a bullet for us precision/long-range shooters.

Re: Red Tip! The Hornady Experience
Just to show that I don't always buy expensive scopes here is my M70 in 6.5-08. This rifle has fluted Lilja.
Bullets above are 225 SST, 129 SST and 32 grain Vmax.
Here are the pills I use with the 7WSM. In my view they are not required for hunting guns, as the Hornadys work just fine. .308/175 for comparison on right side.
PS: Camera seemed to work just fine, though now with only 6 meg pictures it seems to be getting a little long in the tooth.
