Re: HELP! .338 Federal Brass
Thanks Tom; I found this out earlier today on another forum. This was a quest for a custom project from an industry friend, not for my personal use. I appreciate the link and the help others have offered of once fired 308W match brass also.
As the cartridge loading is so new and low in demand, it appears it will be a while before any component brass will become available......if ever.

Other than expensive loaded ammo, not sure you will find any.
I searched some of the not so common websites...no luck.

Re: HELP! .338 Federal Brass
Bitman: That guy is advertising 338 Ultramag brass.....not even close to 338 Federal. (The Ultramag case holds 100+ grs of powder and is intended for very long range or large critters at closer range. It is as much a marketing ploy as practical, like the entire line of Ultramags. The 338 Federal is a more reasonable round for closer shot distances, for hunting in dense timber, and holds 50 grs of powder. The case is the .308 Win case necked up to .338".....huge difference.)
As it turns out, Federal is NOT offering this brass for sale at this time, possibly in the future. The search is off, thanks for all who tried to help. The round is easily formed from 308W brass, but we were looking for the proper headstamp.
