First black gun

I am looking at a DPMS in 204. Does anyone have experience with this type of gun? Any suggestions?

I have one, it's a nice rifle, pretty accurate too. If I could afford it though, I would pick up a White Oak AR.

DPMS may be off the shelf. Local dealer took the price from 1299 up to 1700 this week, and wont budge. Has anyone used the Remington R-15-VTR? A bargain at 1099

I would recommend a Superior Arms. I can shoot 3/4" groups all day long with mine, and have gotten a few better groups with my handloads however I am going to do more load developement. I heard the owner of Superior Arms offer a guy that was questioning the accuracy of a Superior against his own DPMS that they should each shoot the other rifles and the more accurate rifle would take them both home.......he told him that he KNEW he wouldn't lose. I am VERY happy with mine, and I am sure you can get them for well under the $$$$ that you are talking about. I have a 20"bull barrel and it is death on the Pdogs. -Dan

I recommend Mike at D-tech for your 204 upper needs. 5 rounds at 100 yards all day long

DTech is also a great great rifle, but you'll have to wait a while.

I have a Dan Carry 204 and I love the gun! Shoots great and I only had to wait about 3 weeks when I got it.

I have a WOA shoots factory 32 vmax half inch at a hundred yards. Just got my reloading supplies can't wait to work up some loads for it and see what it will do. It is a real nice upper, high quality, I think I am going to order another with a 18 inch barrel. Check them out. Quality stuff.

I ordered a WOA 20" upper this week in .204 mainly as the web site states they use "match grade" 1:10 barrels. I went back to the site today and downloaded their PDF catalogue. It states they use 1:12 Pac Nor barrels. I need to call and see which is correct. I want the 1:10 barrel.
