Rugger 77 compact stainless in 7-08

Post by GlennGTR »

I just purchsed on of these handy, light weight ruged go get em rifles and was wondering if anyone here besides myself has one. Its mostly going to be used for blacktail deer and bear here along the washington coast and in the olympics where shots are limited to mostly 200 or less with the occasional 300 yard shot. I am intrested in hearing your stories and experiences if you have any and your thoughts of this rifle for a in the dark timber elk slayer.

glenn, Mine's not a compact. It is the UL model. Same basic rifle but with a syn stock and a 20" barrell. It also has the target grey finish...... My wife plans on dumping a cow with it first season. Like Rick mentioned in the other thread, the Barnes tsx's make a giant slayer outta the 7/08.........Don

It is the top one.
