204 ruger loads

IMR or H4198 with 39 or 40 gr i`ve tryed bouth but there isn`r much out there on it for the 204Ruger any help would be good. Its taken around 400rnds to get it to shoot well (its a savage 12LPV ) 3/8 in is about all i can get out of it so far or 5 shots under a dime :wall:

If you do that consitantly thats not bad at all. Otherwise try another powder-maybe one of the 4895's or Benchmark. Thats's what I'm about to do. Enter the Postal Shoot. Ya might do good with that load. Better than me. Dave

If you can get your hands on it, try some Ramshot X-Terminator with some 39gr SBKs and start about 1gr under max listed loads and run a few batches of 5-10, jumping .1gr....each batch...

I've found some really good loads that way at about .6-.7gr under max., then play with your seating depth just a little to tweak it even better.

For me, the Ramshot meters like water, requires less powder than some of the others for the velocity, and burns really clean.
