Thanks man, info is much appreciated. I just recieved my new rest from Sinclair last week and I order from Midway all the time as they are an hour and a half away and stuff normally arrives quickly.heikki02003 wrote:Hey Big_Bullseye,
Thanks for the props. You got a pretty nice looking AR there! The level is called an Anti Cant Device, the following are some places where you can pic one up.

Here's a pic of me in the woods with my new Les Baer Super Varmit AR-15 chambered in .204. So far this rifle will flat out shoot!! Had a blast in the field today plinking at rocks at 150-175 yards and nailing them was childs play! Very fun rifle and worth every penny.

Nice gun and you gotta love the AR platform in .204. I know my Noveske has since been field tested and man what a shooter. Maybe its an illusion but that barrel does looks extremely long, like 28" or so....
Les Baer knows what they are doing.

Looks like a mile in that photo, and it is long for an AR, but it is only 26".AK204 wrote:How long is that barrel?

Re: Pics of your 204's
Hi Rick,
That's just a stock 23 inch TC barrel. In fact when I bought it I bought a box of 40 gr. Hornadays and it shot them so bad I thought I had a bad barrel. After reading some comments on this forum I bought some 39 gr. Sierra's and it loves them. Finally settled on 30 grs. of BLC-2, Winchester brass and CCI 450's. Does about 3750 by my old Oehler. When I'm having a good day, I'm pushing 60, it will usually group 1/2 inch or better for 3 shots.
The butstock was a blank from Gunstocks Inc., the forearm is TC. One of these days I'm going to sand it down to bare wood and see if I can stain it to match the butstock. I got this butstock because the TC butstocks have a fairly low comb and don't work well with big scopes.
We live about 6 miles west of Monroe which is between Corvallis and Eugene. It's right in the foothills of the coastal range. We have California ground squirrels and coyotes for varmit shooting plus the ocasional possum and coon.
