Going to Start working up a load for 39 grain Sierra's
Now that I'm back from my trip, I am going to work up another load, this time using the 39 grainers from Sierra. I have a pretty good load worked up for the 32 grain Hornaday's usine 26.6 grains for H322.
I have 3 powders to try out which include H322, Benchmark & BL-C(2). I've checked Hodgdon's website but wasn't able to find data related to the 39 grain Sierras. I'm looking for the minimum and maximum loads for each of the powders, that way I can work from the bottom to the top, incrementing by .2 grains with each load.
I have found some information on the .204 Load Data tab on this forum and from what I gather it looks like for Benchmark the spread is from 23.3 grains to 25.7 grains. H322 is from 22.7 grains to 24.2 grains. I didn't find any data for the BL-C (2) powder.
Any info would be appreciated!

Squatting Wolf--I have had super good luck using 28.0 gr. of H4895 with the 39 gr. Sierra. I did find some decent loads for that bullet with H322, and Benchmark, but never tried BL-C2 with it.

Squatting Wolf,
I used the 40 grain load data for the 39BK. For my XR-100 I ended up at 27.7 grains of RL-15 and BR4 primers.

Re: Going to Start working up a load for 39 grain Sierra's
Squatting Wolf, the Hodgdon data shows 28 grain starting and 30 grain max for BLC-2. I was working on loads for BLC-2 with 39 gr. BK's but I quit at 29.5 grains because of pierced primers, see CCI400 primer post. 29.5 grains looked good 4 of the 5 shots were touching, 1/4". The 5th shot made for a 3/4" group that could have been my fault. I will try that load again but with a different primer. Oh yea the velocity was 2650fps avg. 29.5 grains didn't pierce primers but 29.8 grains did. I don't think the load was too hot just a thin walled primer.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll have to get some H4895 at some point and give that a try but for now I've got a pound of the other three Hodgon powders I listed above.

Did you find that info on Hodgon's website or in their reloading book? I've been using Remington 7 1/2 primers with my load of 26.6 grains of H322 pushing a 32 grain V-Max and I've had good luck, no issues at all with the primers. A buddy of mine is using the CCI BR4 primers and has had good luck as well, I personally hate how much space a 1,000 rounds of CCI primers take up in the reloading cabinet!

Yea meant 3650fps, thanks for clearing that up. Squatting wolf, click 204 load data at top of home page here, then click Hodgden.
