My first post!!!
Here are a few pictures of my new Savage LRPV chambered in .204. (I know we all like pictures)
It has the new target AccuTrigger adjustable from 6oz to 2.5lbs. I have no idea what it is set at from the factory (haven't picked up a Lyman trigger pull gauge yet) but absolutely love it

. I'm assuming it's around the 8-10oz mark from my experience. The receiver is skim bedded with 10110 Devcon. I went with a Near Manufacturing stainless steel one piece picatinny base with 10MOA, and Near Manufacturing twin screw stainless rings. Near's products are a work of art, honestly. The fit and finish is imaculate. They supply the US Army, US Navy, and Canadian RCMP with bases and rings. This stuff is NOT CHEAP!

The base is 3 times more expensive than a Davidson, and the rings are double those of benchrest quality Kelbly's. Anyways... enough about those. The scope is a Leupold custom shop VXIII 6.5-20 with target cross hair and 1/8MOA dot. I'm a hold ON guy in the field, I'm a clicker. The bipod is Harris BR outfitted with a Pod-Loc and a set of Pod-Paws, and the bag is a #40 Protektor. This thing sits solid. From my calculations it weighs in at 15.5lbs.
I'm shooting up some Hornady 32gr factory loaded ammo for brass (all the same Lot#). I didn't know how the 32's would shoot in this rifle, but it's averaging 5/8 inch groups. Not great, but not horrible from a factory rig. I'm pretty confident that under 1/2 is possible with handloads. I am going to try CCI BR4's, H4895, and 39gr Sierra BLK's. I'm really hoping this Savage likes the 39gr Sierra's because I really want to shoot them, they have a great BC for varminting. I'm open to powder choice. I'll start with H4895 because so many people are using it with great success (including my neighbour in his CZ), but if it doesn't work with my combination I'll try some Reloader 10X.
Thanks for all the work here, I've been lurking for many months and have learned a lot.
