Ordered a few hundred rounds from Natchez a couple weeks ago. Got a voice mail the other day from them stating that there has been a "recall" on 204 39g Sierra BKs. Said that some got boxed up with the wrong caliber bullet in them. Anyone else heard about this??

Nope.....I'd just rec'd a new box of 500ct .204 39gr BKs from Lock Stock and Barrel.....and checked them: .204. Hope it's just a rumor.

Yes, I read on another board that some .224 Sierra bullets had been found mixed in with the 39 gr. Sierra .204 caliber bullets.

I just emailed them requesting any Lot Numbers they may have tracked this back to. Hopefully I will have something to report here tomorrow or Friday. HTH

Re: Sierra 39gr BK recall
Just got home a few minutes ago & this was waiting for me. Sierra went over the top to get this out to us immediately & if they are reading here I would like to say Thank You Sierra!!
Glen,
Yes - it was a single lot number and it was 004013219xxxx. The last for
digits are just a packaging code and do not change the lot the bullets came
from.
The lot number is the longer top label on the little white sticker attached
to the box. The smaller bottom label is just a serialization number and has
no effect on the lot either.
If the first 9 digits of the top line are 004013219 - we would like to have
the customers contact us and not even open the box if they have not already.
Thanks for helping us get the work out.
Thank you,
Matt

Re: Sierra 39gr BK recall
Well....was I forever too quick off the mark?!?
I looked at the box I mentioned in my post, and sure enough.....that's the s/n. I'd already opened the box, and it didn't take long to spot a .224 bullet.
I'll contact them tomorrow......
Many thanks,
George

Re: Sierra 39gr BK recall
I had a box that I found 4 .224" bullets in. They told me to keep the .204 bullets and mail them the empty box and the .224 bullets. Friday I get an e-mail that they are shipping me two new boxes to make up for the 4 .224 bullets. : That works for me!
