Glen........Clear insulators......how many?? I look for some in my walks up our local R/R. Most of the poles are down and in the weeds. We use it for a paper weight on our front counter.
Thanks for the comments and sorry it took a while to post some pics.

Ray: That my friend, is what I call a rifle! I can tell it was worth the wait....excellent in all regards, and it appears it is quite accurate to boot. Good times lie ahead in the field with your new companion. Congratulations on a well done project! ;)

Ah....very nice.

For those that have not had the opportunity to shoot a large caliber, using heavy bullets (280 gr +), and large case capacity (85 gr + of powder), ....your shooting life is not complete.

BUT.....do not shoot one unless the rifle has a functioning muzzle brake. I am not a small guy, but I do NOT want to experience this type of recoil without a muzzle brake.

RayP - have you nicknamed your rifle yet? Please don't tell me "LIMP"! LOL!

The 338 RUM of my shooting buddy is named "The Chiropractor".

The A-5 is a remarkable stock in my opinion. Here is a 7WSM Non-Ruger on one.

 Critter.........Way to go! How long did you have to wait to get your A-5?
Yes a great stock and very comfortable to shoot.

That was one of the first production numbers made for the Winchester CFA WSM action, so it took a little longer to get it, but well worth the wait in my view. (About 3-4 months if I recall correctly.) Actually took longer to get 28" Lilja 3 groove than it did to get the stock.

Critter.......my A-5 was order on 03/28/07 and I got it on 8/29/07. So I guess I was in the ball park with your time frame. Just wondered if I was put on the back burner, I order one stock............comparied to smiths or gunshops that order 12 or more stocks. Because of there expense (Mcmillian) and the number of options that can be ordered, I can't see them being a stocking item.
Thanks and keep me posted on your A-5 if you do any customizing.
I had my smith mill two 3/8" X 3" slots on the bottom of the forend to aid in barrel cooling.
