a ??? about 35gr bergers

Has anyone had any luck with 35gr bergers and rl-10X??? I have been looking all over and I cannot find any data for these. If I cannot find anything I will have to use benchmark and save the 10X for the blitzkings.

I heard somewhere that a person can use h322 data and another person said you could split the difference between the 32gr and the 40gr data and use that for the 35gr bullets????

RE-10X will work great with the 35 gr. Bergers. Work your way up to 25.5 gr. That load will send those 35s flying at about 4075 fps and group pretty well. If you're looking for better accuracy try 24.6 gr. The velocity was 3905 but the accuracy was impressive. RE-10X will work well with just about any bullet you can find.

32 gr Sierra BK - 26.0 gr RE-10X
35 gr Berger - 25.5 gr RE-10X
39 gr Sierra BK - 25.1 gr RE-10X
40 gr Berger - 25.1 gr RE-10X
45 gr Hornady SP - 24.5 gr RE-10X

Work your way up slowly in .2 gr increments. Good luck.

PS I have to admit that H4895 produced the same or better results in my XR-100 with the 35 gr Bergers.

I know I really wanted to try the h4895 but the scheels in town here is REALLY lacking when it comes to kowlegable people in their reloading department!!!! They never have anything on hand!!!
Popular powders!! Why would we carry them!!!

Benchmark wasn't the greatest with the 32gr vmax I was thinking about trying the 10X with them and use the benchmark on the 35gr bergers...

I've tried a lot of different powders and favor RE-10X with my XR-100. I'll be shooting the 40 gr Bergers with 25.1 gr of RE-10X for the postal shoot. You might want to try the 40 gr Bergers. They really perform in my rifle.

If your local store carries RE-10X you'll be just fine. I have H4895, H355, H322, Varget, Benchmark and VV N135. When I'm ready to do some serious group shooting I grab the RE-10X. Make sure all your cans have the same lot number. Silverfox had some issues with a couple of cans of RE-10X that had different lot numbers. If you get in a spot where you can only find powder with a different lot number that you have tested, you need to do another load development test. Different lots of the same powder can have different burn rates.

I'm currently using ammo I loaded back last winter with RE-10X. It's 100 degrees here in Houston and I haven't experienced any problems. Of course I don't let my ammo sit in the sun or hot vehicles, either.

I have had great luck with Benchmark and the 35gn and 40gn Berger. I used 26.0 in the 40 and 26.6 in the 35 and had terrific groups. I have since decided to use mostly the 39gn Sierra BK on the Prairie Dogs in my area though. I am revisiting the Benchmark / SBK combo. I too shoot the Remington XR-100 and have tried RL-10X, but have not been able to duplicate Skippers terrific groups.

Not sure if you read the thread from Hawkeye Joe and his Savage Predator rifle but he clocked the above combo at only 3550-3600 when the specs say above 3800...

Know it could be a combo of things from slow powder lot, rifle barrel, 22" bbl etc. but man!

Should have never read that as I would have been fine and content not knowing how fast my 26.4 is going and thinking it is going 3800+....

Actually, I run a bit more powder in mine, and I have a 26" tube, too, on the Savage. The CZ I have has a real slow barrel, but the load shoots pretty good, so a little speed loss doesn't hurt my feelings much. I try not to get too worked up over speed, anyway, maybe things will last longer that way . In any event, it's a good bullet, as long as it shoots okay, I'm happy. Then again, I'm not trying to shoot BR, "groundhog good" is good enough.

I think my savage liked 26.6 but I'm not sure. My Ar is running 26gr. of Benchmark and getting just over 4000, 24 inch fluted bull barrel. (BTW this is about 1/2", I'm not tying to crank velocity out of it. )
