Norma brass Range report

Norma brass is good stuff!!! All neck walls were within .0002 of each other.OAL was 1.840 -1.842.(1.840-1.845 after first firing). They also weighed within 1 grain of each other. 80% being within .4 grains. Very Nice

. Today I was able to fire off 20 rounds of fireformed reloads before the rain chased me home.I'm still stuck on 26.6 gr of Benchmark,CCI BR4,OAL 2.260,Norma Brass and 35gr Bergers. It was all smiles at the range today.Here are some 300 yard 5 shot groups.

I have got to give credit to the 35X45 Leupold Comp scope.It helps when you can read the tiny numbers on the target with ease

Just might have to try that combo in my new tube!

I just got through typing that because of the 35's low BC they are not great at long range. Your making me look like a fool

Oh well, its an easy job you might as well excell at it

OOPS. Was doing a little celebrating while gun cleaning and posting.

..I was using my LRPV. I just picked up a Pro Chrono from my brother so next time out i'll have some velocities for ya. The main thing I was looking for is consistency. Now i'm getting it at a cost

. Case prep,Acculab scale,Norma brass,Redding comp dies,and CASE PREP. I'm now going to start to weight sort brass and bullets

Next up is Benchmark with the 40 Bergs and VihtaVuori N135 with the 35's and 40's.

Mike: Well buddy, I'll just have to confiscate your camera if I decide to grope that Savage and launch Skippy. There's just no way my crew here would EVER let me hear the end of it if they saw me with a Savage!

The rats would be so surprised, they'd be rolling in the alfalfa in shock!

Of course, then we could take advantage of them in their state of vulnerability! Maybe we'll just have to try it and see.......

acloco, I think it's money well spent.Besides, I saved a ton on a powder measure.I have a LEE and love it. As long as your scale is within the .02 error. Probably just air movement.

Hmm...

If I zero the scale with only the pan, place a 170 grain bullet on it (reads 169.98), if I leave for an hour, scale will read 170.40 or 170.42.

But, if I zero the scale empty, place the 170 grain bullet on, then zero the scale again, will read 00.00 and has held for a couple of hours.

I read that article several months ago...after my bout with RCBS Chargemasters and Lyman DPMSIIs.....I was so turned off of electronic anything, I did not act until now.

I just want a REPEATABLE and ACCURATE scale. Time will tell.

My balance beams do fine....I should just quit trying for something better/easier/faster???!!!???!!!!

If it's within .03 grains ,That's accurate...My Hornady would float .10 . I use a tolerance of +- .02 for my loads with the Acculab.How repeatable is it under loading conditions.About 3-4 loads per minute??

Last time I checked I was at about .0005-.001.Didn't check runout on the Norma yet.Left my indicator at work last Friday

.Been on vacation all week and wasn't going back for it.
