223, 22-250, 243, etc. What would it be?

That's an ugly question
If I chose to answer it, it would give me a headache trying to figure it out. I don't need headaches right now, so I won't answer
(it would probably be a .22/250, though, a fine cartridge, still).

For 40 years my answer would have been simply 220 Swift! The problem now is I have a couple 204's and I haven't fired either of the Swifts in about a year. I think I just answered your question.

How dare you even suggest it!
I have more varmint guns then I have pairs of underwear. If I had to pick just one: AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I would keep my 204. Or my 22-250. Or my 223. Or?????????
Yeah the 204 would be it.
Please don't ever bring me that close to tears again.

I think this question brings out more emotion than asking about the perfect deer gun.

Sure it does, varminting can last all year long, deer season only lasts a couple of weeks, tops! We can use our rat rifles anytime, so it's only smart to have the favorite be a rat rifle!

are we talking one caliber or can i choose all four of my 204's
If not for my forgetful nature remembering things would be no problem at all.

My Contender carbine and half the barrels I have for it. That will cover me for a while. Leastwise til this silly post goes away.
