Hornady 40gr V-max vs. Sierra 39gr Blitzking

Post by clint85 »

Does anyone know where I can find a schematic of the Hornady 40gr V-max bullet profile and the Sierra 39gr Blitzking bullet profile? I'm going to see which one my rifle likes the best but I want to examine the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Thanks,

No offense but looking at numbers or profiles means exactly... squat. You're really just gonna have to load some of each up and go shoot em. I can tell ya, in my neck of the woods, the Sierras are a couple bucks more than the V-Max. The availability of the Sierras is less than the V-Max. Of course, that kind of all goes out the window once you find the bullet you and your gun like. Then you can order over the web and get a better deal. Check with Brad at Custom Reloading Supplies. He often has good prices and good shipping rates.

Thanks for the advice. What is the contact info for Custom Reloading Supplies? I usually order my components from Midsouth Shooters Supply since they are close and have good prices and fast shipping. They are currently out of stock on the sierras so I think I will try the hornadys first.
