22-250 Rebarrel

Post by VarMitt »

Hello to all, it's been awhile since I posted anything. Got a Browning A-bolt 22-250 that was a great shooter, but after 5000+ rounds; the barrel has gone south! I would like to rebarrel the old gal. Problem is there is no gunsmiths, in my area that anyone has raived about. I live in Oroville,Ca. and you would think with RCBS home base located in this town; one would be able to find a dependable and better than average smith. So can anyone recommend a gunsmith in my area of Nor.Cal. or in Oregon; my son's family lives in Hillsboro, Or and I travel there often to hug my grandkids. Varmint hunting time is nearing and it would be good to have the Browning along for the trip. Thanks to all for vast amounts of good info. this forum has provided. Doug in Oroville.
