ground squirrels
I took my dog out to run in the hills today, took my Ruger # 1, .218 Bee along just in case. I was surprised to see several ground squirrels out. Shot two of them. 40 gr. Nosler B.T. turns them inside out. Also saw a bald eagle. Made one stand and called for coyotes but, no luck there.

Re: ground squirrels
I take it that you do not have snow? I did not think that they were out yet?

Re: ground squirrels
We have no snow on the ground here right now. It was a nice sunny day with a little breeze.

Re: ground squirrels
Yep, it won't be too much longer now....about nine or ten weeks till we REALLY get lift off. Or maybe that's Skippy that'll get lift off.! Ammo is all loaded, rifles and all optics cleaned, cleaning box re-stoked with solvents and patches.....just waiting for Skippy and his pals to poke their heads up.
Soon the flags will fly again!
There's nothing quite like the acrid smell of freshly burnt smokeless powder in the morning and red mist in the grass.........

I hear you Rick. I'm hoping the new 17 Fireball will be upgraded in time. Building a 20 VarTarg. Got to be prepared for quality Skippy time! Love your flag.
