Scent lock Vertigo Camo would it be good for Coyote hunting?

Scent lock Vertigo Camo would it be good for Coyote hunting?

Post by Ryan S Albright »

I have been thinking about getting some more camo. I want something that will work in Southern California. I hunt along the hills and in the mountians I dought that one sceam will work for every thing but was considering the sent lock Vertigo camo. What do you think? I don't hunt in the desert that much. Mostly blond grass to brush to oaks.

I think it will work, nice and open. My main concern with camo is that most of it makes your outline. Mossy Oak for example at a didtance makes you look like a dark blob.
I like GCC camo, it has an open pattern and light colors.
If you are thinking of it due to scent control, really no need. I don't mess with scents or scent control. I try to really play the wind. Plus, I got too much stuff more important to deal with, to also deal with scent control.

Mostly the dark blob but nothing wrong with keeping the scent down. I have been busted by my scent from setting the call out I back tracked a few paces on a trial then set my call down big mistake. I saw the coyote come down the trail toward my call when I went to shoot I saw him lift his nose then turn mid step an run back into the brush so fast I failed to get the shot.

You'll also want to set in the shadows to make your camo more effective. I wear scent blocker too & can't say it helps. I get busted a lot just because of my terrain here with all the woods & hills. It's hard to get downwind of the sound & still be able to see enough.
