I want to get a night scope for varmint hunting but have never looked through one. I have heard that the generation 1 scopes have a humming sound and afraid that the coyotes will hear it and stay away. Does anyone have any first hand experience on this? Which ones are good and which ones should I stay away from? I was thinking about the LUNA OPTICS GEN-1 4X50MM LN-PRS40. Is there a good generation 2 that will not break the bank that I should consider? Any help would be appreciated. It is night hunting season now.

A friend of mine swears by ATN but I don't which model he has or what they cost. Gary
