FED. 205 vs. 205M
I just bought some 205's and was wondering if they are as good as the 205M's that I was previously using. Will it make a difference in my accuracy? The place I went to didn't have the 205M. Anyone use the regular 205 primers? thanks

Re: FED. 205 vs. 205M
snort: I use the regular 205's in my sporter weight barrels, and the 205M's and Rem 7-1/2's in my HB bench guns for any accuracy edge they may provide.
Unless you test them side by side, it doesn't matter what anyone else tells you, as your rifle may actually perfer the plain-Jane version over the match primer, but you'll never know unless they are shot with the same load, same day, same conditions, in the same rifle.
I've been to the CCI plant where the BR-4's are produced, and saw the extra time and effort put into the match primers, so all things being equal, any match primer should be more consistent (and produce a demonstrated level of better accuracy), emphasis on should.....

Re: FED. 205 vs. 205M
I've tested "MY LOTS" of Fed 205M and standard 205's side by side. The Fed 205M's come out on top for accuracy and lower ES's.
As Rick correctly stated that means nothing to you. You'll need to test your lots to see if theres a difference.
Your results could be just the opposite of mine.
If and when the day comes that I get my hands on another lot of 205M's they might not perform as well as the last lot. Having fun yet?
I have 10.000 Wolf (russian) primers coming. I'm interested in seeing if they live up to thier reputation.
