Seat needs finished, but the bulk of the work is completed. Yes, that is Chevrolet Orange! :)

I meant to add the angled piece at the right rear. As I am right handed, my right elbow sticks out further and needs a place to rest.

Cost to build - $50 + wood. Person could get REALLY fancy and actually build with roller or ball bearings, but that would be a bit overkill. Seperate the base/legs from the top by pulling them apart - just a slip fit that also acts as the pivot.

Now, where is that old steel tractor seat I had laying around a couple of years ago??? Paint it "Ford Blue" and it would look pretty sharp on there...

LOL! The finished version has a fully padded with a black naughyde covering.

I know either of the benches that I made in the last couple of weeks might seem like a serious pain to make or carry to the field, but the hit ratio has jumped considerably. I LIKE to shoot the long shots as well as the 50-200 yard shots. Today, 500-600 was not problem, even with a little wind. In fact the hit ratio was in the 80%+ area. If I missed the pd, I missed the PD (or it moved! LOL!)

I would highly encourage anybody that is considering a bench. At the very least, buy the folding table legs, half a piece of 5/8" plywood (NOT particle) and put one of those together. I used a 5 gallon bucket for the seat with the table. Guarantee your hit AND FUN ratio will go up.
