More shots from out at my mom's place

I went out to my mom's place, just outside of town, to do some watering, and check a sprinkler. When I was ready to leave, I seen a doe eating on one of the fruit trees in the yard, so I ran her off using my pickup. She ran up the hill behind mom's house. When I got to the top of the property, I spotted this guy taking a nap in the shade. I was going to run him off too, but as I got closer to him, he just acted like he was not gonna be intimidated by me, and stood his ground. I decided that maybe he would stay there until I got back with my camera. I had to drive back home, only about 2 miles, to retrieve my camera. When I returned, fortunately the buck was still in the same place.
It has been very hot for the last month , and we have been in a drought year. This is a really nice Black Tail buck,and I was close enough to see that he was panting in the heat. I was within 15 feet of him when I got a bunch of pics of him, and wanted to share some of them with you. He is a only a 3x4, but wide and high.

He really was not concerned with me getting this close, and I snapped this shot as he was looking up the hill.



When he turned to look at me I got this shot.



Like I said, he was not concerned with my presence, and started feeding again.



As you can probably see in the photos, he has some extra growth at the base of his horns, just like the buck I posted in another post, of a buck right behind my house. It has been so dry this year, that these, other wise very wary bucks, are coming close to population
