So I bought a Predator over the holidays(actually found several in-stock, at standard Hawkeye prices!)
While beginning to test reloads with CFE and 34gr Nosler VN hp's; I figured I would test against factory ammo.
Back when the 204 was brand new I had a Savage. I found then that Hornady was HORRIBLY sand-bagging the velocity claims.
Today's test was factory Win Super-X ammo with a 34gr lubalox coated Nosler hp.
Box claim was:
4025fps
Results of a 3-shot(didn't have the chrono on for the first 2 )
Ave: 3649
ES:40
SD:20
Hand loads:
I managed a 4-shot group with 1.98cc, or what would equate to Nosler's starting load.
Book expected: 3800 fps
Actual: 3665
ES: 65
SD: 27
I am elated with the groups this rifle shoots, and lack of jacket fouling that my last three Ruger barrels have(Are you listening Savage?)
Gonna keep testing reloads, to get the numbers down.

Ammo test in a new Predator
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
