Christmas 2022
I wanted to start a thread where members could post updates during the DEEP FREEZE. I live in Houston so I'll get the tail of this Arctic Blast. Temps are just starting to fall here. PICTURES, Please

Re: Christmas 2022
Pictures here are a PIA to post, but I can tell you its been below zero in Kansas the last 3 mornings. Wind has been brutal. My beloved Chiefs are playing at Arrowhead tomorrow, I bet that will be cold AF.
The more people I know, the more I love my dog.

Re: Christmas 2022
My neck of the woods, N.E. corner of Commie California is just a normal winter time. Out temps run from a low of below zero to a high, during the day of around 24-34 above, from around Dec to end of Jan, every year. So nothing new to us, just another normal winter time in the sierras.
( The majority that stay in the area in winter, just prepare for and make a go of it, with equipment and a nice warm wood fire in the old cabin.

Re: Christmas 2022
It was 3*F here yesterday morning, now the warm front is upon us and we have temps that are quickly melting all the snow and ice that accumulated over the past few weeks. That's good news, won't have to leave cabinet sink doors open at night to prevent freezing pipes, and no more snow to shovel off the driveway. And the simple task of driving will once again become mundane. Yay.
Warm temps, green grass, sunshine and not so willing varmints are now dancing in my head with the promise of spring not too far off. Can't come soon enough for this guy.
A very Merry Christmas 2022 to all my forum friends and their families!

Re: Christmas 2022
Once in a blue moon it snows here. This shot is from Feb 15, 2021. The last snow we had here. It did $20,000 worth of damage to my house. Old heaters just couldn't keep up any more. Had a pipe above the garage burst and there was a waterfall filling my boat. Oh what fun it is...
