Having to go lead free, I find my favorite 223AI keyholes everything I have tried except these bullets.
WBT or trade for, I have a decent assortment of 17, 20, 22, 243 lead bullets if you prefer a trade.
Thanks
Allen

Allen, you can always call Barnes directly for those hard to find bullets.

Allen: Did you try Nosler's 35 grain BT Varmint bullet. It works great in all of my 224's and is lead free.

Thanks
I have a few hundred NOS coming, I believe these were discontinued several years ago. I messaged Barnes to see if they have any with the same profile as their current bullets, no reply yet. I need to sneak over to Nevada or up to Oregon to unload the lead ammo...... Hmmm
I do need to try the lighter bullets, I loaded some NTX and they did well, but the VLC's will be better for longer shots.
My 204 doesn't like 32 grain lead free, my Sako Vartarg shoots a good group, but they keyhole also. 3 tore open a dime size hole! Guess Skippy at 100 yds will still fly, but maybe sideways vs up, lol So I have some light NTX that shot well, but the light bullets , in my mind, doesn't give much over the 15.5 NTX factory ammo of the 17hh or 17 hmr, or a 17 Ackley also needing light leadfree bullets.
Thanks
