39gr. Sierra with H335 Powder
I just built another AR15 (this time it's a .204 Ruger) and I have a large supply of H335 powder. I will be reloading 39gr. Sierra Blitzking for prairie dogs and was wondering anyone please recommend me SAFE starting point to begin working up a load. TIA!

Sierra lists it as a universal firearm with a 24 inch barrel and a 1:11 twist. If I had to guess probably bolt action.

Re: 39gr. Sierra with H335 Powder
Sierra like most other bullet makers utilize the "Universal Receiver" for testing various loads, and 'yes', technically it's a bolt action. I've been in the Nosler ballistics lab, seen their setup and a pigeon-hole rack of about 200 rifle barrels in various calibers to screw onto the Universal Receiver for testing; impressive.triggerfingers wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 3:57 pm Sierra lists it as a universal firearm with a 24 inch barrel and a 1:11 twist. Been using 25.5 grains of h335 under 40 grain Vmax for years. Works great.
