I'm thinking of selling the upper off my AR and getting a Cooper in .204 instead. Here's what I have based on the new retail prices:
dtechuppers.com $599
1x 10 twist and shilen select match barrel +$76
Fluting +$139
Integral compensator +$119
Bolt carrier and charging handle +$150
=$1083 retail
I bought it used in 2012. I think there are 500 total rounds through it. There are some light nicks here and there but nothing major. What's a good price to ask for it?

Re: Help with value on a DTECH .204R upper
With all the backlash from the Florida High School shooting and debate about black rifles, I wouldn't sell ANY AR right now. Some outlets have stopped carrying them (DICK'S) and others are following. It's time to hold on to what you have, for the moment.

Can you let us know what kind of groups it shoots? Hard to put a price on an upper. The market is flush with AR stuff. To me prices are performance based when it comes to AR stuff. If this particular upper shoots fantastic groups it will command a much higher price than the average used upper that can be had for a couple hundred bucks.

I don't know if this will work but I have some targets in my photobucket account

There are some photos in that album from when I last shot it a couple years ago. The 100yd, 3 shot groups typically have 2 touching and the 3rd about 1" away. I think it was me, the scope, or the factory 40gr ammo. These DTECH uppers are supposed to be pretty accurate.

Did you have any prices in mind? For ease of shipping I may lean towards just the upper, but I'm gamee for anything. As I get older, bolt guns and revolvers are more and more appealing.

Re: Help with value on a DTECH .204R upper
I'm down to $650 for the complete upper. If you are interested in 40gr ammo, the lower, standard magazines, or the sling, I'll have to price those out. Have you seen the pictures of it? You can PM me your email or phone number and I'll text you photos.
Thanks
