Question for Rick

Post by Lead Lobber »

I am visiting Portland, OR next week for business and thought it would be sweet to visit the Leupold manufacturing facility. Rick, is possible for an average Joe to get a tour? I am assuming that if it was possible, you were the first one in the door...... :D

I own 6 Leupold scopes and in the market for a 7th for another AR build in .204. I wonder if they have an outlet shop there I can pick one up.......

Answer for Lobber: "Yes", you can get a factory tour at Leupold. It's best to call ahead and arrange it so you're not sitting around in the lobby though. You'll be amazed at the facility and all that goes on there.

Phone: 503.646.9171

The factory has a blem sale every year for employees and the public, but not an outlet store per se.

Enjoy your time in Portland....check out the Rock Bottom Brewery too in downtown.

Well Voodoo Doughnuts was a trip...... I never thought a doughnut shop would have a 30 minute line at 6:30 in the afternoon. But worth the wait. The maple doughnut with bacon was delightful.

I think tomorrow night we are going to try out the Rock Bottom or Ringside.

I was told that you will need a passport to go on tour at Leupold. I believe it is due to some of their work for the military market. I would call ahead to make sure.
