Opinion-Mueller scope
Looking to purchase a Ruger in .204 for squirrel hunting. Being new to all of this I want to be careful as to my out lay of $. Looking @ 8-32x44 with side focus $260.00 range By Mueller. Any one have one? Or, in the $250-300 range what would you recommend? Will shoot from shooting bench with 24" barrel length. I do not see myself shooting much past 250 yards.

Re: Opinion-Mueller scope
Midway USA has the Weaver Tactical Grand Slam Rifle Scope 3-10x 40mm 1/10 Mil Adjustments Mil-Dot Reticle Matte on sale for $300. I have several Weaver scopes which perform flawlessly out in the field where it counts. This is a real bargain for the price IMO.

Wow, that's a lot a mag. in that price range; bet it's like looking through milk glass at 32x. A firm believer in " buy all the power you can afford, you can always turn it down", there are compromises made in that price range, especially since it's side focus. Down around there, you'd get more bang for the buck in glass quality by going with front AO. I'd pick something like a 6-20 Weaver Grand slam if there are any left (Natchez might still have some); if not, their iconic V16 or V24.
