Cedarville Squirrel Roundup?
Anybody going? I'm thinking strongly on it, assuming there are still spots available.

Too much of a circus for most of the serious rat shooters I know, as there's much better quality rat shooting available without the competition factor and crazyness involved at this semi-sanctioned event. If you just want to shoot up a few bricks of .22LR, well then, it's a perfect venue.

Thanks, Rick. Put that way, it makes a lot of sense. I was just hoping to not to have to knock on doors to find places, which is my idea of the third circle of heck. My main rat shooting venue is now growing potatoes.

Better to go the week before or after the "roundup." Too hard to find a place to shoot that weekend.

Re: Cedarville Squirrel Roundup?
In Cedarville they were requiring you to get the dead squirrels and transport them to the counting station to verify the number of kills. I stopped doing that shoot a few years back. When I was young we camped at Burny falls Ca. and many times the campground was shutdown because of the Bubonic Plague (carried by the squirrels). The fleas on these squirrels spread the plague during overpopulation and drought years. So the next time you see an knucklehead holding dead squirrels remember that. In the Prarie Dog states they also get the plague during overpopulation and drought (natures population control). Prone shooting in the dirt mounds should be avoided also.
