sako scope rings

Post by TrapperDan »

I recently purchased a sako vixen. It has scope bases but no rings .The base is the dovetail type I think come on a new sako. Not sure. They are made for windage adjustment in the rear and dovetail in the front.Tried leupold rings but wouldn't fit .Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Dan, most of my Sako's wear Leupold Sako Dovetail Rings in both 1" and 30mm. Using them negates the base you have now, and also reduces bulk, gets the scope lower to the bore axis, and just plain look better on these nice rifles.

Let me know if you need part numbers for your rifle.
