Latest addition to the safe - Cooper M21 Varminter 20 VarTarg. Only managed to get 7 rounds through it today. Had other priorities (kids wanting to shoot) so break-in and fire-forming will have to wait. Kind of tough to shoot and clean a lot in my present condition anyway.

What rounds these rifles like. I got a winchester in a .22 that will only fire winchester rounds. Anything else does not extract.

I just loaded 150 rounds of various powders/bullets for my Vartarg load testing. Nice looking rifle! I wanted the Montana Varminter but got the Phoenix because I didn't want to wait any longer! Happy shooting and welcome to the Vartarg revolution (time for a new 20 VT sub category on here?).

Brian: Congrats buddy! She's a lookin' good fer sure. If you've got some RL-7 and H4198 along with a good stash of 32 grainers, you should be in good shape for shooting some bugholes.

Nice combination there too.....looks vaguely familiar, like I've seen that somewhere around here before........

Dang it, RIO! I thought I had the only one they made. :( Thanks for all of your help! I have a pound each of RL-7 and 4198. I think I can scrape up enough 32-grainers to give it a proper break-in. Have to send the scope in for turrets, get a 30MM Vortex anti-cant, and some scope covers and it'll be ready to hit the field. I should probably polish it up a little too. Can't be seen in public with a dull Cooper!
