I have a T/C Contender with a 23" bull barrel & a Cabela's Sweet 17 scope that has a B.D.C. out to 250 yards. It works great but most of the time shooting is to hot & heavy to mess with the elevation knob I just kentucky elevation & windage it most of the time. I took a lesser weasel at about 150+ yards with it & i hit it in the left ear, Rang its bell - permanently. I am making a shoulder stock & forearm to match as I can sine it has over a 16" BBL . I also have one in a Marlin 917 Mach II. It shoots very well also. I love the little pills. Also have a 17HMR, 17 Remington & 204 Ruger. Love all the tiny pills. The 17 Remington I dropped a American Bison with the 25gr H.P. Berger I reload, 1 shot to the neck & it dropped straight down in its tracks. Enjoy your Mach II, they are economical & a blast to shoot.
The Cooper 57 M LVT 17 HM2, and 17 HMR are my spring prairie dog pup shooters. A few years ago befor plague and poison reduced the prairie dog population where I live the two rifles were used to shoot a bit over 2,000 p dogs.
