Used Rangefinder Advice Needed
I have been looking for a used rangefinder, mainly on E-Gads. Approach this from a champagne taste/beer budget perspective. Bells and whistles are okay but, optical clarity and the ability to range are at the top of the list. Have been most interested in the older style Leica. Looked at Sworovski, too many bingo shells for me. Have been warned that the Leupolds have poor clarity, to the point that it can affect their use. What say those who have used these units? Looking to pay no more than $250, and $200 would be even better. Thanks in advance!

Re: Used Rangefinder Advice Needed
Jon, depending on your needs, look at either the Leica LRF-800 or the preferred LRF-1200. I've been using the 1200 model since they first came out, still going strong, and it does exactly what I bought it for without any added bells, whistles or gadgets.
FWIW, it will range PD or squirrel mounds past 600 yards, and critters such as deer farther. I've not seen any need to "upgrade".

Thanks, Rick! Just the series I have been eyeballing.
