AR trigger adjustment

Have read where instead of spending couple hundred dollars on trigger adjustment(lighting the pull) you can lightly the trigger springs, anyone have more info on this and where lighter springs can be bought, to try it ? I saw and was given info on how to shorten the ejector spring, so the spent cases do not get thrown all over, did that and it works great, they now fall about three feet to the side and eject just fine, when shooting. Thank you your information, in advance.

Recieved the trigger kit from Brownell's today. Piece of cake installing it.. It is a much smoother and lighter trigger pull. Will check it with a friends trigger scale. But much nicer.. Good price and easy install.

Good! My RRA single stage trigger was... awful. Trigger job made a big difference!

Went out this morning and tried the trigger set up... It is so much lighter and smoother, what a difference.. Thank you for the tip to check out Brownell's.. That spring kit is great. Now will get another for the other lower.

Bill, what was the poundage on the pull? I have a RRA two stage that is around 4 lbs. Would like to cut that in half.

It was a little over five lbs to start and rough/gritty. It is now 3lb and smooth and breaks crisp. It is still a 2 stage, which is what I personally like. bill K

I had a jewell, and it got real finicy and troublesome. I called Jewel tech support three times and did what they sugested and gun still would not fire a second shot. I ordered a set of 3.5 lb light pull JP springs from midway. I then did the junc yard genius techneque. Awsome are the results total cost of twelve dollors. Less over travel. Saftey works excellent. I think it is all that a ar needs!
