Bow, I guess but when the solution pointed out my own carelessness it kind of takes you down a peg. It's a good lesson though. No matter how practiced at reloading you are, you can not just go through the motions. You lose focus for a minute and mistakes can happen. Fortunately mine was a small one and it will not be repeated.

Not "carbon" build up but rather Copper fouling is supposed to be reduced....Tokimini wrote:Most of the rounds were the CFE223, which is supposed to eliminate carbon build up. I normally shoot at that many rounds, switching back and forth between different powders, and have never had anything similar happen. I looked through the barrel after it happen and looked clean.

Ya mean like the time I could have sworn my Chargemaster hopper was full of Ramshot Hunter and after firing a few rounds I determined it was 8208XBR?
Rushing to get a few shots in before dark is never a good idea
Shame I did'nt have enough time or light to set up the chrono. Might have been a world speed record broken
Your absolutely right about loosing focus, been there done that.

Arhhh actually I did that just last weekend with the 30 BR. Only 16 rds tho.
Umnn So the charge weights were a little light but the velocity data was still useful.
Never said I was'nt gonna lose focus again. I know better than that.
Nowadays I just struggle to remain focused.
