what kind, and barrel length, and what load shots the best for you.

22 Hornet, not to evade you question with a direct answer. But just check out the favorite loads, 204 questions, etc. on this site and you will see where those that post regularly have various makes, lengths and load varities. You will not Coopers, Rem, Sako, TC's,Savage and other, just to name a few.. Most will be in the 24 inch barrel range and one the medium to heavy barrel for bench/field shooting. Lighter for walk abouts. Most seem to use 32 grain the most, but also shoot 40-50 grain with RL10X, 4895, and other powders.. You are going to see lots, that work. Depending on your funds, etc you can just start with any of the better brands and work up and from there.
