Winchester announced a 'new' 1885 Low Wall single shot for this year at the Shot Show last month. One of the chamberings is the 204 Ruger in addition to the usual suspects.

Here's mine in 22 K-Hornet...might just "need" one of these puppies in 204 too.
It sure is good to see the manufacturers come out with new varmint rifles....it's a very good sign I'm told. It's said that the economy is good when folks are buying things like this.....hope so. I just know I'd be perfectly happy to own one of these rifles in 204 for a walkabout rat rifle. Can a guy have too many 204's?

Yeah, I looked at the 22-250 awhile back at Cabela's. Real nice rifle. You'd look very nice with it in your hands.

Umm, NO!Rick in Oregon wrote: Can a guy have too many 204's?
That is a sweet looking rifle. I have been pondering my next .204. I want a lighter walk around rifle. I think that'd be a fun one to carry with me on the horse while out riding. Just kinda fits the Western theme a little better than a bolt action.

Always did like the looks of a Low Wall... Nice rifle Rick.
One in .204 could be pretty sweet indeed.

I like it. Need a better paying job though ...
Wonder why they don't have it in .243 WSSM?

Re: New Winchester 1885 Low Wall 204
Probably a better idea, But just think how the nastalgia of lying there with that falling block with your mind wondering, not on the fact that it is a 204 Ruger aimed at a fat ground varmint, but all of a sudden in your mind it is a 45-70 with a big chunk of lead, cast by yourself at the campfire last night, and now ready to pull the trigger on that big old bison standing out there. Poof.. Oh I got carried away there Bill KPmoper wrote:I Like it as well....but for that money I would but a new Cooper or a custom gun......
