cleaning component compatibility with Tipton rods o
Anyone know what brands of cleaning brushes, jags that will work with Tipton .20 cal carbon rods? Thanks Brian

I use Pro Shot jags and brushes on mine. Midway lists the thread size of the various tips and rods in the product description IIRC.

I'm using a set of Dewey rods from .17 cal through .338 and have found that all the Pro-Shot brushes, jags, mops all fit these thread sizes. Dewey also offers male to female and reverse for fitting various brushes to their and other rods. I'm about certain Tipton uses the same relative thread pitches for their rods as do all the other makers to ensure interchangeablity.

I ended up making/adapting some junk for mine... I think I'm using a Bass Pro ends with a thread adapter that I had to turn down to under .20 cal...

As far as I know, any brush or jag for .20 cal rods, will work on almost any 20 cal cleaning rod. All are male threaded at 5-40 threads per in.
I do have a Tipton Deluxe Carbon Fiber rod, for 20 cal, that I don't use any more. I was using my Dewey jag on and was using a variety of different brushes with it. All interchanged between Dewey and Tipton rods.
