Re: pierced primers
well I think I have resolved my piercing primer issue, went to the range today with the same load and bullet, except this time I used cci BR4 primers wich are .004 thicker, went through 20 rounds and no pierced primers.the only thing that was a lil different was, using cci BR 4 small rifle primers and new winchester brass,my p.o.a. was 4'' left nad 2'' high, but grouping was excellent as it was before. Now I should also mentioned I bumped my rifle a week ago and maybe my scope got knocked out a bit,but it wasn't that big of a bump,or does changing brass and primer affect poa that much???.bottom line is no more piercing primers..

Re: pierced primers
Yes, changing either could change the POI, so could bumping the scope. My guess is the primer change is what did it for you. But, if you found one doesn't pierce, then just adjust your scope and keep on shooting .dozernomore wrote:does changing brass and primer affect poa that much???.bottom line is no more piercing primers..
