I used to have a rem 600 in .222 back in the '70's. Traded it for a ruger 22-250 liberty model that was a total piecer. The Mohawk was the finest spotlighting rifle I ever had, and I've been missing her ever since. Finally replaced her.....

Between this and K22's ruger 204 UL, my kimber Montana 204 is set back a while.....

Thats a fine looking rifle. The 222 rem has interested me as a fox/bobcat round. How is it on pelts?

its still a little hard on fox and cats, but sew-able.....

I take it You can remove the front and rear fixed sights....kinda neat,I didn't know You could do that?

It's just a cheap piece of birch. I couldn't afford the walnut...

Oh man, that does bring back memories. That is a really nice 600. Heck, it looks almost new. I had one for years and at one point I installed it in a MPI synthetic stock. I shot that thing so much it finally got so it wouldn't group any more. Instead of rebarreling it, I traded it off. Dumb mistake. I still have several bases laying around for the 600. I even have a couple of aluminum bases I had made that were copies of the old Weaver one piece steel base that for the 600.
You can be real proud of that Mohawk Huntsman22.

When I was looking at the side of that bolt I thought to myself, man, that thing looks brand new. Great find. I like the looks of that Redfield scope on it, any opinions on the new Redfields?

I like 'em. This is my 8th. Even got a 3x9 skwirled away for when your UL gets here.......

I've heard good things about them. That UL will be real happy with a 3-9 on it.
I've always had a love affair with the 600's. I can't remember how many I've owned, but my 3 favorites were the 222 Rem. I mentioned, a 6.5 Rem. mag., and a 6mm that I restocked in a BSA Monarch stock. The last 2 I was keeping forever, but they left in a divorce. Tough way to go.

Recieved the Ruger Ultralite 204 from member K22. Mounted scope, swapped stocks and wrung it out on my 300 yd gong this morning. Gonna make a nice calling rifle...... Thanks again, Jim.

Wow Don, that looks much better than when I had it. I really like that stock on it. Oh, and it's total Coyote count was only 5, but it went 5 for 5.
