Been tied up at work a lot lately and haven't been able to get out. I finally sneaked a morning off and headed to the plains.
The only one I got was this ugly thing. I was a bit surprised, because he took four HARD hits. He tried to even the score with me after being hit twice, so I shot him a couple more times point blank.
I wasn't too broken hearted though. I would have had to carry him back from by the tractor, (the speck to the right of the tree), but not for mange....
This was the first time the ole 40 grain Bergers left a little life in one. But then I have seen them run off after being scattered by a .257 Weatherby.
Finally got out again...
