a few dogs on our way through Wyoming.
a few dogs on our way through Wyoming.
me and and an old friend spent a week camping through Wyoming a couple of weeks ago. Everyone had been saying that all towns have basically been shot up and that chances were slim to get into them. Well we must have just been real lucky because we found them on a nice chunk of BLM. spent the whole day smacking them.
I was shooting a savage 204 with 39 gr BKs/
here is a quick clip.

thanks! I made a blu-ray disc of all of our footage and it came out amazing. was shooting with a canon 7d 400mm lens.
the rifle is a savage 12FV. glass bedded and has a B&C Varminter stock. very accurate, I love it (even though the action feels like a toy)
you can sorta see it here
also here are more pics from the trip if anyone is interested (lots of good wildlife shots). thanks!

Here is a slowed down version of my favorite shot on the footage we got. I thought it was awesome how the guts were completely expelled from his body and stayed in mid-air while the rest of the body just fell to the side.

clint - mine likes 32s also. its like max loads best, and the 32s sometimes were coming apart. so the 39s it is! I'm shooting max loads of H322
Ray P - was one of the best trips i've ever had. it was awesome. we plan on doing something yearly

Yes...it is comforting to know that there is other people who take great enjoyment out of guts on the powerlines. I live in Northwest CO about thirty miles from southern wyoming, spend a great deal of time killing P-dogs, there is really no such think as a shortage...ran out of ammo today...well over 300

Very awesome display Bobby. I really like the ultra slow motion effects. Picture quality is pretty good. Thanks for sharing. This site LOVES visual displays.

Nice bobby...GREAT vid!
Clint E: Most of the Savages, from what I have heard, will shoot 32 to 39's very well. It's 40's and up that some have trouble with. I know in my particular rifle, the 35 Bergers and the 39 SBK's can't be touched by anything else! Rifle's will vary of course!
