Bitman--I'm using the exact load of H4895 you use with the 39 gr. Sierra BlitzKings--28.0 gr. and my accuracy is 1/2" or better at 100 yards too. Velocity varies a little bit, but the last time I ran it over the chronograph was August 13, 2009, and the average velocity at 12 feet from the muzzle for three shots was 3,888 fps. My primer is the Remington 7½ and I use WW casings.
kenbrofox--Like Bitman mentioned, a load of 28.0 gr. of H4895 behind the 39 gr. Sierra is 1.083% over Hodgdon's maximum recommended load. However, in my Savage 12VLP there are absolutely no signs of excess pressure, but I highly recommend that anyone wanting to shoot H4895 with the 39 gr. Sierra start below the 27.7 Max load listed by Hodgdon and work their way up very slowly and constantly be on the lookout for signs of excess pressure. You will probably find an excellent load before you get to the Max load listed.
