Wanted to do some lube on my deer rifle and was reading how guys really like Eezox so I picked some up. Started with my squeaky sling swivels and it worked great. Figured the rest of the gun (bolt etc) could use a dab so I took care of these parts right away too.
Then I got the idea to try to see if I could make my Remington LVSF bolt smooth like the Sako's (yeah right) so I dolled up the bolt and sear catch ( think that's the term) etc. Much better, BUT now my trigger pull dropped to just over 1#. This is one that we huffed and puffed, but could not get the threadlocker to budge and allow us to adjust the trigger. Hard to believe that lube could make that much difference as it did not change the Sako triggers. Definitely smoothed out the bolt opening and slide.

Re: Eezox
It is great stuff. I always finish off my cleaning with a coat of Eezox. It dries to a film and does not attract dust.
