Hi,
I have a Savage 12VLP in 204R (blind box magazine) that I am having problems feeding rounds in particular the second round into the chamber. First round feeds ok, second round bolt slides over top of round, third and fourth rounds feed ok most of the time. I have removed spring and stretched it to give it more tension but I am still having problems. OAL is not a problems as rounds have clearance in magazine. It seems front of round is pointing down a bit?

try re-bending the spring a bit! I fiddled with my spring a little while back and ended up bending it back the way it was.
If it continues to be an issue, you may want to call Savage CS. They may ask you to send it in to get 'er back to normal again!
That's about all I can offer...

A slight adjustment of the feeding lips (sides of the magazine box) is the place to tweak.
Its really pretty simple to figure out where the adjustment needs to be made.
load a few dummy rds(much safer) and work the bolt slow. Watch why its not functioning and adjust to correct.

Don't forget, its a Savage. Hammers are a perfectly acceptable fine tuning tool.
